Pix of staffDr. Matthew Young grew up in a small town in central Indiana called Franklin, just south of Indianapolis. Going to the track to see the Indy 500 was a large part of his family time and has increased his interest in NASCAR today. He attended Davidson College, in North Carolina thus, began his love of the mountains. He tells his patients that the drive through Asheville was always the best part of the trip. After graduation from Indiana University School of Dentistry, he moved to Arden and went to work at the Buncombe County Health Department. In 1983 he purchased his office in Hendersonville, NC.

Our office is fully computerized, and have completely removed poisonous chemicals, also use digital low dosage x-rays. Dental photographs and x-rays can be sent via the internet for other doctors, dentists and patients to view. This has created an enormous amount of time economics for us to process treatment plans (future work that needs to be done), write prescriptions, process insurance claims, therefore, allowing us to spend more quality time with patients.

The patient is truly the center of our work. They are why we exist. We want to make them feel welcome, like a member of our family and treat them in a way we would want to be treated. This is evidenced immediately by the enthusiasm and loyalty of our staff.

Approximately three years ago we became familiar with the modern concept of biologic dentistry. I met the president of the American Board of Clinical Board of Heavy Metal Toxicology at an anti-aging program in 2003, I then learned about the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. (web site
www.iaomt.org). This is a fantastic group of over 550 dentists, physicians and researchers who have been funding the areas of mercury and fluoride toxicology for 24 years. We also work with a fantastic group of integrative physicians who look at human health from a totally different perspective. They examine patients with a physical, spiritual and holistic manner. See the information on our philosophy and doctors for more details.

It has been a life changing experience to go from “Dr. Young you have given me a great smile” to “Dr. Young you have significantly changed my life by helping to give me back my health.” This is indeed the best job in the world for me and I hope it is reflected in the way we do business.
